OUR MARES

Bellemara Mystical Belle

Breed the best to the best to get the best. And if you have a throwback foal, have great horses in the pedigrees to throw back to! These are strong beliefs of ours, to produce great foals, we have carefully selected great stallions AND great mares, with outstanding pedigrees. We don't believe in just producing "pretty" horses that will do well in breed classes, we strive to breed horses that will also excel in the activity classes. After all a pretty horse that is unsuitable to ride would not last long in the "big" horse breeds. See our show results page, we're sure we are achieving our aims, often each year with a different show team.

Please see below the list of mares we have, which includes their foaling details for 2005. Each year we may reluctantly have to sell one or two or our mares to make room for the young mares coming into the herd, so if a mare particularly interests you, please contact us and we can let you know should she come up for sale.

Bellemara Delightful Lad, North Island Royal Show Reserve Champion Youngstock, and Runner Up NMHSNZ Nationwide Youngstock A of the Year. An outstanding broodmare, one of the best.

Junior Champion at her first show as a foal, and now has gone on to become a MULTI SUPREME CHAMPION. Truly an awesome show mare with a gorgeous nature, and the most beautiful movement that regularly wins movement classes.
Sire is Glenshee Cappuccino, fully imported USA bloodlines. Cappuccino has won eight Supreme Champions, even winning Supreme Champion as a 13 year old.

Sadly, Thumblina had to be put down in 2004 due to cancer, but her legacy lives on in her filly (Bellemara MP Orion's Golden Gem) and grandson (Bellemara MP Orion's Royale) we have retained.

Zotasha's daughter - Bellemara MP Orions Zara - has won National Grand Champion Activity Horse, and a member of Bellemara's team winning the 2005 National Champion Breeders Stud Award.

Bellemara Silver Classic - GELDING

Last but not least, Jason's favourite little horse, Bellemara Silver Classic, a tiny approx 27" black going grey three year old gelding.
Sired by the now gelded "Kotta Park Danny Boone", imported Australia, Multi Supreme Champion, black and white pinto.
A successful little show horse, but now a favourite of visitors to our farm, and to the rest homes he visits.
