Bellemara Miniature Horse Stud is located on State Highway 3A at Lepperton, near
New Plymouth and Inglewood in Taranaki, New Zealand. We have been breeding miniature horses for approx 10 years.
Before then we were involved with riding, showing and breeding arabian horses.
Our stud comprises of approx 30 miniature horses in a wide range of the finest bloodlines and pedigrees from
throughout the world, e.g. USA, England, Australia and New Zealand. All of our horses are registered with the
NZ Miniature Horse Assoc, NZMHA, but some are also registered with the AMHA in the USA. We have horses
imported from England and also Australia.
Bloodlines are very important to us, our carefully selected horses carry the lines of such famous USA
horses as Hemlock Brookes Egyptian King, Bond Snippett, Orion Light Vant Huttenest, Boones Little Buckeroo. We
also have many colours of the equine rainbow including buckskin, pintaloosa, palomino, many varieties of pinto plus many
of the solid colours e.g. bay, black, chestnut.
We are very proud of the quality of the miniature horses we own, many are Supreme Champions or NZ HiPoint
winners in their own right or are direct relatives of Supreme Champion and Champion prizewinners.
When you buy a horse, or horses as often happens, from Bellemara, we also offer ongoing advice with
your "mini" purchases. Sharon is only a phone call or email away if you wish any advice on breeding, foaling,
showing or caring for your mini. New studs have been established with horses from Bellemara and we are only
too happy to help.
Also, when you buy a miniature horse from Bellemara we welcome any inspection you deem necessary e.g.
veterinarian, height measurements etc, and you are most welcome to bring with you any equine expect you wish to help you make
your choice. All our horses are registered with the NZMHA, and we offer a written height guarantee on all
Bellemara prefixed horses we sell. We are proud to sell them at affordable, realistic prices.
